“Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.” (Ecclesiastes 12:7)

This passage contains this biblical view of man.

First, of course, we humans are part of the material world. The Bible teaches us that the first man was formed from the dust of the ground assume “the dust of the ground” means elements that exist on earth. Therefore, our bodies are part of the material world, and part of the animal world as well.

Secondly, it is also true that we humans are separated from the material world. Let’s take the animal world, for instance, we belong to the animal world, and yet we are separated from it. We have unique existence. The passage just referred to says” the dust returns to the ground it comes from”. This talks about our material part. And says, “and the spirit returns to God who gave it.” So we are made to live partly as material beings and also as spiritual beings which are separated from material form. This is biblical view of human beings.

The third point is absolutely important. That is you and I are objects of God’s love. You and I were created to be loved by God. Such an idea would never comes from Evolution view point of continuity concerning both the world and human beings.

There is only one God who created us and who loves us. This God is speaking to us. This is the message of the Bible. What was the purpose of Jesus Christ who came to earth in the form of man ? He came to love you and me. Jesus loves us, so He will solve the biggest problem we face.

What is our biggest problem ? It’s the problem of sin. We want to live clean lives, but we can’t. We are frightened by the memory of our past sins. We have fear in our present lives and we feel anxious about the future to come. Jesus came for us. He offers us the answer to death. Sin and death – Jesus Christ came to solve these problems, and make us free.

Please listen in silence and there’ll be a voice of your own that you can hear within your heart. The voice might be saying, “Is there eternity? If there is, I want to live a clean and meaningful life, where does this voice come from?” Since you are God’s creation, unless you return to Him, you won’t find true peace within you. The voice comes from you innermost being.

Today, God who created you is speaking to you, “Come back to me. Return to me now as I wait for you with open arms.”
