The good you do will be forgotten tomorrow,

Do good anyway.

Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable,

Be honest and frank anyway.

What you spent years building

may be destroyed by overnight;

Build anyway.

People really need help

but may attack you if you help them,

Help people anyway.

Give the world the best you have,

and you will get kicked in the teeth,

沒關係，照樣去愛他。

如果你做好事，人們會責難你自私自利，別有用心，

誠實和坦白，會讓你容易受攻擊，

你多年勞心勞力所營造的成果，可能一夜之間被拆毀，

沒關係，照樣去建。

人們需要幫忙，可是你去幫忙，反倒所攻擊，
