“The Tough and Resilient Bamboo “--A Prescription For Happiness『勁竹』

By Jen-min Wang  Translated by Evelyn Lee

~^.^~~☆~^.^~~☆~^.^~~☆★★ ~^.^~~☆ ☆~^.^~~☆.^

A tempestuous wind and torrential rain

Beating on my self-respect and my wellbeing.

I fell onto the ground

Covered with dust and mud.

But I did not bend my waist to surrender

Neither did I bend my knees for forgiveness.

Because I know the tempestuous storms of life will be over.

The days of breezy wind and sunny sky will be here soon.

I will stand tall again!

Once again holding the weight of the world on my shoulder and

My feet planted firmly on the ground.

Stronger, dynamic and more resilient ever!

Note: Six months ago during my unemployment,

I wrote the above words, now I regain my profession back.

I thank God for His guidance. Thank you Lord!
