“Five Stars Mental Phenomenon”『五星級心境』

Once there was a handicapped Church minister whose enthusiasm was not diminished by his disability. Instead of feeling defeated by his ailment, he preached and wrote everywhere he went with a loving heart. One day, he was publicly questioned by an atheist,:”Mr. Pastor, if you say God is as omnipotent as you preach, why doesn’t He show His almighty power by healing you, a faithful God’s servant, so you can shake off the disability which you were born with”?

The congregations were appalled by his question, some looked at the handicapped Pastor wondering how he was going to answer to this ruthless, ridiculous question. The pastor smiled and said: “My friend, if indeed, God heals me and get rid of my sickness it would really be a “miracle”. But, come to think of it, if God would let some one in his disabled condition lead a joyful life and preach the gospel everywhere he goes, how much more is this a “BIGGER MIRACLE” After this wise answer, tears filled many eyes. On that day many people were moved by this “BIGGER MIRACLE”, and because of his lively living witness, many people were converted in to Christians.

This story reminds us of one important point. Even if you posses “one star environment” and “one star appearance”, if you wish to become like the pastor, to infuse his FAITH into his daily living, your mental health will be uplifted to a “FIVE STARS MENTAL PHENOMENON”

My friends, during the beginning of this year, no matter how many stars you rate yourself, you can wish for a “FIVE STARS” goal for your life. May God help you and strengthen you to reach for your goal.
